Bucket Works is a flower farm and floral design studio based in Metro Detroit, highlighting flowers grown across Southeast Michigan and unusual varieties you don’t often see elsewhere. Designs are loose and garden-inspired or more sculptural, depending on the setting: from weddings and events to editorial work. Available for projects throughout the state and beyond.

You don’t need to know exactly what belongs on every table. I look at the whole day — the room, your clothes, the layout, what’s already beautiful about the venue, and where flowers will actually make the biggest difference.
That might mean loose, garden-led flowers everywhere, one big sculptural moment, or something in between. Full-service weddings can include personals, ceremony and reception flowers, candles and other styling elements, installation, and breakdown.
Bridal bouquets are a specialty :)
LGBTQ+ weddings are always welcome.

This includes celebrations like dinner parties, baby showers, birthdays, and cultural events, as well as quieter moments like memorials and funerals. The approach is always the same: thoughtful, intentional design that supports the tone of the day.
Floral work can stand on its own or be paired with light styling, including candles, textiles, and natural materials, to help the space feel cohesive and cared for. Scale and scope are flexible, from a few key arrangements to something more immersive.

Some events need just a few really good arrangements. Others need something people can walk into, gather around, or remember afterward. I design around the space and the reason everyone is there, rather than filling every available surface just because we can.
Styling and installation can be added when the project calls for it.

Bouquets and arrangements are made one order at a time, using locally grown flowers whenever possible and varieties you’re unlikely to find at the grocery store or through a wire service. No fixed recipes.
Want flowers more than once? Subscriptions run through the growing season, with pickup in Hazel Park or delivery throughout Metro Detroit.
